VOOR transformed and extended a dilapidated industrial unit into a cutting-edge facility for salmon processing, smoking, value-added production, packaging, blast chilling and cold storage - all built to handle the toughest food safety challenges for M&S.

This wasn’t just about construction - it was about creating functional solutions. Achieving a double-A BRCGS food safety audit rating, we collaborated with food technical teams to ensure the design supported Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP). Faced with serious microbial risks, Listeria, cryptosporidium, and allergen control across multiple fish, crustacean, and mollusc lines, we used architectural fixes that reduced the risk of contamination, including innovative drainage designs to keep food contamination risks at bay.
